Interfolio’s Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) module is live as of May 27th, 2025 for many Penn schools! FAR Administrators in the schools included in this first phase are preparing the tool for faculty adoption in the fall. The Provost’s Office in collaboration with Interfolio and MJC Consulting, is continuing in the discovery, planning and implementation of FAR at Penn.
As the project continues, updates and resources will be posted on this page. If you have any questions or feedback throughout the process, please reach out to: fa-project-help@pobox.upenn.edu.
The purpose of FAR is to equip Schools with a tool that streamlines data collection, enhances data quality and format consistency, and improves reporting for School administration and faculty, particularly in tracking information vital for accreditation and annual reports.
What is the Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) system?
The FAR system enables Schools to have:
FAR@Penn Guidebooks and Find Colleagues Details
The guidebooks and additional materials in this section were developed by the FAR@Penn team to provide Penn-specific guidance on how to navigate and use FAR:
FAR Demo Presentation to Penn (12/14/2023)
Interfolio Guides, Videos, and Workday Learning Courses
The materials below were developed by Interfolio and cover general FAR topics. Note that while Penn’s instance of FAR may differ from what is shown in these videos and documents, these resources are a great option for learning more about the tool:
